Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Kuumba is the design workspace at kuumba.ai. In this policy, “Kuumba”, “we”, and “us” mean the operator of that service. For privacy requests, email [email protected].

2. Information we collect

We collect the information needed to provide the workspace:

• Account. Name, email address, a hashed password if you use email sign-in, and, if you use Google, the Google account identifier plus the name, email, and profile image Google shares with us.
• Workspace content. Prompts, product photos, brand-kit files, project data, and the images and videos the tools generate for you.
• Usage. Which tools you run, credit balance and credit history, plan, and basic records of sign-in and support requests.
• Device and log data. IP address, browser type, and timestamps in server logs, used to keep the service secure and to diagnose failures.

We do not ask you to add a payment card inside the product today. If a paid plan is arranged for your team, billing details are handled with that plan’s administrator and are not stored as part of a public checkout in the app.

3. How we use information

We use this information to:

• create and secure your account, and keep you signed in;
• run the tools you request and store the projects and results you ask us to keep;
• meter credits and show your usage history;
• respond to support requests and protect the service against abuse;
• understand reliability problems and improve the product.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your private uploads or customer prompts to advertise third-party products to you.

4. AI processing

When you generate or edit an image or video, the prompt, reference images, and related settings are sent to AI infrastructure providers so they can produce the result. Those providers process the content to perform the request. We do not authorize them to use your private workspace as a public training set.

Generated files are stored so you can view, download, and reuse them in your projects. Downloads are served through kuumba.ai.

5. Cookies and on-device storage

Sign-in uses an essential cookie named kuumba_session. It is httpOnly, limited to our site, and lasts up to 7 days so you stay signed in. If you sign out, we clear it. The product does not use advertising cookies.

The canvas may save interface preferences, such as panel width, in your browser’s local storage. That data stays on your device until you clear it.

Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. Google may receive your IP address as part of that request. If you use Google sign-in, Google’s own privacy policy applies to that authentication step.

6. Who we share information with

We share information only with:

• infrastructure providers that host the application, database, and stored images and video;
• AI providers that generate the result you requested;
• Google, when you choose Google sign-in;
• advisors or authorities when we must do so to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect users.

If you use a team workspace, people with access to that workspace can see the projects and assets shared there. Administrators of your plan can see account status needed to manage access and credits.

7. How long we keep it

We keep account and workspace data while your account is active, so your projects remain available. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security. Credit records may be kept longer so balances and disputes can be reconstructed.

When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information and stored workspace files, unless we need to retain a record for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.

8. Security

Passwords are stored as hashes, not as plain text. Session cookies are not readable by page scripts. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Please use a unique password and tell us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

9. International use

Kuumba is offered to users in more than one country. Your information may be processed in the countries where we and our hosting and AI providers operate, which may not be the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection rules. We use this processing only to provide the service described in this policy.

10. Your choices and rights

You can update your name and review credit history in the product. You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information by emailing [email protected]. We may need to confirm that the request comes from the account holder.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. You can sign out at any time, which clears the session cookie on that browser.

11. Children

Kuumba is not for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes

We may update this policy when the product or the law changes. The effective date at the top will change with it. Continued use of Kuumba after the update takes effect means you accept the updated policy. For a material change, we will give notice in the product or by email when we can.
